Guided, a forest clearing, two affirmations. Music underneath
For when you know the answer is in there somewhere and you cannot get at it. A walk to a clearing, to meet the wise one you already are.
About 13 minutes with Steven Webb's calm voice.
You sit on a fallen tree with a figure who is everything you would want in a wise teacher. You ask them something you are worried about. The answer might arrive as a word, a feeling or a picture, and somewhere in it you notice the answer is coming from you. That is rather the point.

Who this is for
You know the answer is in there somewhere and you cannot get at it.
A walk to a clearing, to meet the wise one you already are.
What happens in this meditation
Breath first, breathing in balance and peace, breathing out the noise. Then the body, which already knows where it is tense.
Then a forest of tall old trees with sun coming through the leaves, and light moving on the ground.
In a clearing ahead a figure comes towards you. This is your inner wisdom, and you can borrow the look of somebody you know, or a family member, or somebody out of a film. It does not matter.
You sit together on a fallen tree, and after a bit of small talk you ask them something you are actually worried about.
The answer may not be spoken. It might be a feeling, a single word, or a picture. You trust whatever turns up.
And somewhere in the second question you notice the answer is coming from you. That is rather the point, and it is the moment the meditation is built around.
Two lines. I trust the wisdom within me. I am guided by my inner wisdom in every moment.
How to get the most from it
Thirteen minutes, and bring a real question rather than a hypothetical one.
Do not chase the answer. Ask, then wait, and take whatever form it arrives in rather than the form you expected.
Before you leave the clearing, spend a moment on all the times in your life you had to dig deep and did it on your own. That is the evidence, and it is what makes the affirmations land.
Questions people ask
What if nobody turns up in the clearing?
Then sit on the tree and ask the question anyway. The figure is a way of giving your own wisdom a shape, and some people do this fine without one.
Is this not just talking to myself?
Yes, and that is the discovery rather than the flaw. You are the teacher. The forest is only a way of getting far enough from the noise to hear it.
Can I come back to it?
That is what it is for. Once you know the clearing, you can get there with a breath and a question, without needing the fifteen minutes again.

Hello and welcome to the guided meditation. This meditation is to help you to find your inner wisdom teacher when
sometimes we feel like we're a little lost or feel like we can't make decisions or we're struggling to find
that inner wisdom we know is there but sometimes it feels like it's buried.
So let yourself find a comfortable seated position and
allow yourself to be present in this moment.
Just become aware of your breath.
And just setting aside any distractions of the day.
And you can gently close your eyes or to soften your gaze a few feet in front of you.
It really doesn't matter which.
Just bring your awareness to your breath.
You don't have to do anything with your breath. Your body knows how to breathe.
We can still connect with our breath and our body, just becoming aware of it.
Breathing in calm. Breathing out relax
Breathing in balance and peace.
Breathing out the distractions and the noise.
As you're breathing in and out I mean you may notice your body just moving very subtly forward and back
now as we're allowing the body to breathe let's allow the body to relax.
Your body knows where it's tense already. Just let your body relax into this moment.
Just as it knows how to breathe, it knows how to relax.
We don't need to get involved in all that.
Your body's way wiser than we are.
Notice the noise has become a little quieter.
Notice anything around you is just almost like it's been turned down like the volume a little bit.
Notice this moment for the space it has.
Notice your mind's a little quieter.
And As we begin a journey inward, picture yourself in a nice forest surrounded by
really tall ancient trees.
The sun's gently glistening through the leaves.
You can feel the warmth sometimes as you walk through.
You can see the light flickering on the ground.
The air is fresh.
And with each breath you feel more connected to this peaceful place.
As you walk through the forest, you feel a sense of calmness surrounding you.
Up ahead there's a nice clearing.
This is where you'll meet your inner wisdom teacher.
And as you step into the clearing, you see a figure approaching.
This figure is the embodiment of your inner wisdom. That
calm, knowing and wise.
And as you walk forward, you see a nice huge bit of old tree that fell over many
moons ago you
choose to go and sit on it together.
And after a little bit of small talk and introduction,
Just imagine this person to be everything you ever wished in a wise teacher.
You could take inspiration from somebody you know or family member or the movies or
anything really.
And it's just a visual representation.
And You take a moment to speak to them on a deeper level.
And there may be something you're a little concerned about at the moment.
Or if there isn't, you could ask them any question you want. And
as you ask them a question,
then they may not speak the response. It may be a feeling. Maybe
a single word. It may be an image that comes to mind.
Just trust whatever comes to you.
And you may ask them another question. And
it can be anything. And
as you're waiting for the answer, you
start to notice that the answer is really coming from within you.
The wisdom that the inner teacher is teaching you is from you, deep within your intuition,
deep
within your spirit, deep within your soul. Whatever you want to call it, whatever you feel, you just feel it
deeply within you. And you realise this teacher is you.
And this fills you with some comfort.
It fills you with a feeling of joy.
And I'm going to share a couple of affirmations with you that will help you to solidify this. So when
I say the affirmations, just repeat them quietly in your mind. Just imagine what it's like to be fully true.
I trust the wisdom within me.
I trust the wisdom within me.
I am guided by my inner wisdom in every moment.
I am guided by my inner wisdom in every moment
and Just spend a moments sat here
really appreciating that all those times in your life when
You know you've had to dig deep and make decisions
And remember how you did it alone and
how you had to dig deep within yourself to come up with the answer.
Just really appreciate that.
Become aware of how wise you actually are
And as each breath just fills you with more joy in the realisation that you have an inner peace. An
inner wisdom teacher that gives you balance, peace and joy. And that guides you through your life.
And now it's time to stand up and leave the clearing. And as you walk back through the forest can
I review this insight and this peace you received.
Know that you can return to this place and convene with your inner wisdom teacher whenever you wish. Just
by taking a deep breath is by asking the question and allowing the answer to arise.
In whatever form it takes.
And as you bring your awareness back to your breath and slowly to the room, remember the wisdom and peace
that you've connected with today. And
that this feeling of calm and insight stay with you. It
really can enrich every part of your life.
So when you're ready, gently open your eyes, take a breath and thank yourself for this practice. Thank yourself for
this time. And thank yourself for giving you space between the question. And the wisdom and the depth of your
knowledge and your wise teacher within.
