No goal here. Nothing to achieve. Not even relaxing, because that would be doing something. Easier said than done, and I know it.
About 13 minutes with Steven Webb's calm voice.
We have built a world where even sitting down to relax is a task on the list. So this one asks for nothing at all. The breath comes and goes, sounds come and go, and the thought that says this is a waste of time comes and goes too. You let all of it. What is left is a moment with no pressure in it anywhere.

Who this is for
Everything on your list is a thing to do, including the sitting down.
There is no goal in this one. Nothing to accomplish. Not even relaxing, because that would be doing something. Easier said than done, and I know it.
What happens in this meditation
You settle, and then you do not do anything with the breath. It happens whether you are watching or not.
Then you notice the moment going quieter by itself, without you quieting it.
Sounds come and go. Thoughts come and go. Feelings come and go. The urge to do something with the moment comes and goes. And the thought that says this is a waste of time comes and goes too. You let all of it.
Everything you become aware of turns out to be temporary. It leaves about as fast as it arrived.
Near the end, three lines, and I say plainly that saying them is also doing something. I am present. Just as I am. I embrace the beauty of this moment.
How to get the most from it
Thirteen minutes, and the harder you try the less it works, which is the joke at the centre of it.
Notice how quickly you start looking for a task. We have built a world where sitting down to relax became an item on the list.
What is left when you stop is a moment with no pressure in it anywhere, and that is genuinely rare.
Questions people ask
How is this different from your other meditations?
There is no instruction to follow and nothing to aim at. Most meditations give the mind a small job. This one deliberately does not.
I felt like I was wasting my time.
That thought turns up in the meditation itself, and it is welcome. Notice it and do nothing with it, the same as everything else.
Is accepting the moment not also doing something?
It is, and I say so. You cannot get entirely out of doing. Noticing how much of it is unnecessary is the whole gain here.
