About Steven Webb

My Story

I am Steven Webb. At 18 years old, a diving accident left me paralysed below the neck, confining me permanently to an electric wheelchair. This event marked the beginning of a life filled with immense challenges. However, I refused to let adversity dictate my life.

At the age of 40, I faced a series of devastating events – bankruptcy, a failed relationship, and severe depression that drove me to the brink of suicide. It was a dark period, often referred to as the “dark night of the soul.”

My Journey to Meditation

It was during these trying times that I discovered the power of meditation. As someone with an incredibly active mind that seemed impossible to quiet, guided meditations provided a solution. This discovery was so profound that I felt compelled to share it with others, leading to the creation of the Inner Peace Meditations podcast.

My Other Ventures

Apart from the Inner Peace Meditations podcast, I host another podcast called Stillness in the Storms. I also run a blog at, where I write and discuss topics related to finding inner peace, building resilience, and developing confidence to navigate through difficult times.

My Mission

Having gone through immense hardship myself, from paralysis at a young age to experiencing the brink of suicide multiple times, I have witnessed life’s harshest challenges. Despite these trials, I have managed to find inner peace. Now, my mission is to share these practices and coach individuals worldwide in their search for tranquillity and resilience.
